Set up your chatbot
Design & Tone
Make the chatbot look like your brand and greet visitors in their language.
Appearance
Setup › Design & Tone
- Chatbot Name
- Shown in the chat header and above every answer. 2–50 characters.
- Primary Color
- Your brand color as a hex value, used for buttons, visitor messages and highlights. The text color adapts automatically for contrast.
- Avatar
- The image in the chat header. PNG, JPEG, WebP or AVIF up to 5 MB. Square images work best.
Texts per language
Greeting texts are set per language under Translations. The chatbot uses the language of the page it runs on, taken from the lang attribute of your website's <html> tag. A German page gets the German greeting.
- Slogan
- The short line under the name in the chat header, up to 100 characters.
- Welcome Message
- The first message visitors see, up to 500 characters. Say what the chatbot can help with.
- Bubble popup message
- An optional short message above the chat bubble, such as "Can I help you?". Leave it empty to turn it off for that language.
Fill in every language your website uses. A visitor on your French page should not be greeted in English.
Quick starters
Up to three clickable suggestions per language, each up to 100 characters. They are shown before the first message, show visitors what they can ask and start conversations with one click. Good starters are your most common questions:
- Where is my order?
- How do I reset my password?
- What are your opening hours?
